Fallujah, Iraq - Followers of Sheik Ali Waqqi Tobaqqi, spiritual leader of the Shi’ite rebellion in Iraq, say that they will hold their breath until the US leaves their country. Previously, the Shi’ites had made funny faces at Coalition forces, but they stopped this when Imans in Saudi Arabia ruled that making funny faces is “contrary to the Holy Koran, and besides, your face could freeze.”
Followers of a rival Shi’ite Iman, however, said that they are going to continue armed resistance and say that they will overwhelm Coalition forces since they are walking on tippy-toes which makes them invisible and will cover their heads with blankets which renders them invulnerable to monsters.
A 12-hour cease fire seemed to be holding in order to allow religious pilgrims to participate in the Shi’ite Holy Day of Waqqin, in which Shi’ites deliberately walk into a glass door in honor of Rufus, the great-grandson of Mohammed who is known in Islamic tradition as the “Clumsy Martyr.”
