Paris - Officials of the John Kerry presidential campaign here in Paris are ecstatic over exit polls showing the Senator to be scoring high marks with the all-important “Polo Mom” demographic.
“Polo Moms” are defined by political scientists as billionaire mothers who live in the Hamptons, Beverly Hills, Boca Raton and the Upper West Side of Manhattan who employ on the average 2.7 nannies to take care of their 1.3 children per capita. “Polo Moms” are generally speaking fiscally conservative and socially indifferent. They are called “Polo Moms” because they typically have their chauffeurs drive their children to polo practice when they are picked up at the end of the school day at Choate and Country Day School.
“We’re delighted at the enthusiasm that ‘Polo Moms’ are showing for this campaign,” said Senator Kerry during a campaign swing through Lyons, Dijon and Marseille. “Because ‘Polo Moms’ are the real ordinary hardworking Americans who put on their pants one leg at a time with help from their servants, butlers and major domos.”
