Responding to criticism that North Korea is our greatest threat and that therefore his administration should be making plans to wage war against Kim Jong Il rather than other dictators, President Bush said today that "it's true that Kim Jong Il has a million man army. But what the American people must realize is that it's actually a 'million tiny man army.' Have you seen those Asians?
They're all so tiny. Teeny tiny, is what they are. So there's no need for alarm." Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld concurred with the president's comments when he said at his weekly news conference today: "Yes, those Koreans are teeny. And tiny. So it's really an army of a million teeny tiny men, which is not so scary.
A million teeny Korean men are really no challenge to American fighting men and women, and a million teeny Korean soldiers are really only the equivalent of about ten or fifteen Iraqi soldiers, who are big and strong. So the American people can breathe a collective sigh of relief about that 'million man army' and focus their fear on those gigantic Iraqis."
