As Florida enters round four of the great hurricane bout, 4 million people are without power, water and hair supplies. "We consider this situation beyond acceptable conditions and are looking for Federal assistance to rectify our dilemma." Said Governor Jeb Bush.
Jeanne slammed ashore in the Atlantic coast town of Stuart just before midnight with 120 mph (192 kph) winds, leaving a trail of devastation and bad hair in areas that had little time to recover after being battered by Frances on September 5. Many damaged homes had been protected by little more than blue tarpaulin sheets. Several saloons were left in inoperative conditions, dozens were left in ruins.
President Bush has launched "Operation Aqua-Net" which will replace the inbound aid workers and food supplies with 2000 hair stylist and diverted truckloads of Vidal Sassoon.
"We are focusing our efforts on one disaster at a time. Currently efforts are also being made to assist starving retirees. "We are calling this one operation 'Golden Eagle'. Said Gov Bush. "We are giving aid to millions of the elderly unable to make early-bird specials."
